When a number and noun are combined to modify a noun, the modifier rarely takes the plural form.

Megumi:Yes he was. I'm proud that I helped him succeed.
Daniel:Have you been maintaining your professional skills since you graduated?
Megumi:Yes. Last year I attended a four-day conference in Miami, Florida. It was an incredible experience and I learned a lot.
Daniel:Did your previous employer pay for that trip?
Megumi:They paid for my attendance fee and I paid for the hotel and travel expenses.
Daniel:I see. Sounds like you are very serious about your professional development.
